साइबर अपराध शिकायत शाखा ने एक बहुत ही बड़े गिरोह का पर्दाफाश किया है, जो कि लोगों को कॉल कर अपने आप को टेलीकॉम कम्पनी का कर्मचारी बता कर लोगों के सिम कार्ड को 3 जी से 4 जी मे अपग्रेड करने का झांसा देकर उनके अकांउट से पैस निकालने की वारदात को अंजाम देते थे। एसीपी श्रीमती धारणा यादव ने इस बारे में जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि आरोपियों ने पीडिंत मुनीश कुमार जैन निवासी केनवुड टावर, चार्मवुड विलेज, फरीदाबाद से इसी तरह झांसा देकर अलग-2 बैंक खातों में करीब 2,30,000/- रु. धोखाधडी से निकाल लिए थे। जिस पर पुलिस ने आरोपियों के खिलाफ दिनांक 24 जुलाई 2020 धारा 406,419,420,380, 467, 471, 120बी भा.द.स. के तहत थाना सुरजकुंड मे 356 न0 मुकदमा में दर्ज किया था।
उपरोक्त साईबर टीम ने अपने सूत्रों व आधुनिक तकनीक का प्रयोग व मेहनत से अपनी जान का जोखिम उठाते हुए अपराधियो को नक्सलाईट ऐरिया जामताडा, गिरडी और देवघर से गिरफ्तार करने में सफलता हासिल की। पकड़े गए आरोपियों की पहचान सौरव निवासी पंजाब, अजय मंडल निवासी झारखंड, भरत कुमार मंडल झारखंड, शत्रुधन मंडल उर्फ चरकू निवासी झारखंड व नरेन्द्र कुमार मंडल उर्फ लालू निवासी झारखंड के रूप में हुई है।
साईबर सैल उपरोक्त आरोपियों को बिहार गिरफ्तार कर, आरोपियों से 1,25,000/ नकद व 12 मोबाईल फोन व सिम कार्ड बरामद कर, आरोपियों को अदालत में पेश कर नीमका जेल भेजा गया है। एसीपी यादव ने बताया कि आरोपी टेलीकाम कम्पनी के कर्मचारी बनकर लोगो के पास काल करते थे और उनकी सिम को 3 जी से 4 जी व एडवांस 5जी कम्पीटिबल सिम मे अपग्रेड करने का झांसा देते थे। उसके बाद आरोपी लोगों को उनकी सिम कार्ड नंबर से अपनी बलैक सिम का ढ्ढरूस्ढ्ढ नंबर कस्टमर केयर नंबर पर भेजने को कहते थे। लोगों के सिम कार्ड को अपनी सिम पर एक्टिवेट कर आई.फोन व लिंक बैक अकांउट को हैक कर नेट बैंकिग के जरिए उनके खाता से पैसे निकाल लेते थे।
