प्रख्यात साहित्यकार प्रो.संतराम देशवाल ने कहा कि हिंदी आजादी के आंदोलन की भाषा रही। देश की स्वतंत्रता में हिंदी भाषा खास रही। हिंदी हमारे संस्कारों की भाषा है। विश्व के 176 देशों में हिंदी भाषा पढाई जाती है। हम हिंदी के प्रति निरंतर समर्पण रखें तो एक दिन हिंदी विश्व की भाषा बन जाएगी।

साहित्यकार प्रो.देशवाल दीनबंधु छोटू राम विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी विश्वविद्यालय, मुरथल के जनसंपर्क विभाग द्वारा हिंदी दिवस पर आयोजित कार्यक्रम में बतौर मुख्य अतिथि बोल रहे थे। डीसीआरयूएसटी व बीपीएसएमवि, खानपुर द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से आयोजित किया गया था। प्रो.देशवाल ने कहा कि कि हिंदी देश को एकता के सूत्र में पिरोने का कार्य करती है। हिंदी हमारी संस्कृति की भाषा है। हिंदी हमारे भावों व देशभक्ति की भाषा है। प्रो.देशवाल ने कहा कि चार महत्वपूर्ण तत्व हैं, जिसमें राष्ट्रध्वज, राष्ट्र् गान, राष्ट्र मुद्रा व राष्ट्र भाषा विकास के लिए शामिल हैं।
हरियाणा साहित्य अकादमी के पूर्व निदेशक प्रो.पूर्णमल गौड़ ने बतौर मुख्य वक्ता कहा कि उन्नति मातृभाषा में ही कर सकते हैं। मातृभाषा ही प्रगति के पथ पर अग्रसर होंगे। चिंतन हिंदी भाषा में करें। वैज्ञानिक व तकनीकी संस्थानों में हिंदी का प्रयोग धीरे धीरे किया जाने लगा।
