कांग्रेस के अंतरिम अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी आज गैर एनडीए राज्यों के मुख्यमंत्रियों के साथ बैठक करेंगी इस बैठक में राज्यों के बकाया जो जीएसटी है। उस पर चर्चा होगी इसके साथ-साथ नेट और जेईई परीक्षाओं के मुद्दे पर भी चर्चा की जाएगी। नेशनल टेस्टिंग एजेंसी ने मंगलवार को यह कहा कि परीक्षाएं अपने तय समय सीमा से होंगी जिस का आयोजन 1 सितंबर से 6 सितंबर तक करेगा और नेट 13 सितंबर को करवाई जाएंगी। इससे पहले सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने यह दोनों परीक्षाएं डालने के लिए अर्जी को खारिज कर दिया था।
कोरोनावायरस महामारी की वजह से कई राज्यों में एग्जाम छठ गीत कर दिया था। आपको बता दें कि सोनिया गांधी वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से पश्चिम बंगाल और झारखंड के मुख्यमंत्री से भी इस विषय पर चर्चा करेंगी मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरे इस वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंस में नहीं जुड़ेंगे। पहले यह कहा गया था कि वह मीटिंग में हिस्सा लेंगे लेकिन बाद में मना कर दिया गया।
इस बीच पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को पत्र लिखकर उनसे आग्रह किया था कि इन परीक्षाओं को सूचित किया जाए और सुप्रीम कोर्ट के अंदर एक रिव्यू पिटिशन लगाने के बारे में विचार किया जाए। इसके बाद उड़ीसा के मुख्यमंत्री नवीन पटनायक ने भी केंद्रीय शिक्षा मंत्री रमेश पोखरियाल निशंक से नेट और जेई की परीक्षाओं को स्थगित करने की अपील की थी।
