जजपा जिलाध्यक्ष ने कहा कि भारतीय पुरूष हॉकी टीम ने 41 वर्षों के बाद ओलंपिक में पदक का सूखा समाप्त किया है, जिसके लिए टीम विशेष रूप से बधाई की पात्र है। इनमें हरियाणा के खिलाडिय़ों ने भी बेहतरीन योगदान दिया है। उन्होंने कहा कि सुमित सोनीपत के कुराड़ गांव के बेहद जरूरतमंद परिवार से संबंध रखता है। संसाधनों के अभावों में भी सुमित ने हिम्मत नहीं हारी और आज सफलता उसके कदम चूम रही है। युवा खिलाडिय़ों के लिए वे एक बेहतरीन उदाहरण है।
