सोनीपत के माॅडल टाऊन स्थित पीएनबी बैंक की शाखा में नौ जुलाई को दो युवकों ने हथियार के बल पर मारपीट कर लगभग नौ लाख रूपये की नकदी छीनी थी। जशनदीप सिंह रंधावा व पंजाब नेशनल बैंक मैनेजर तुला राम ने जिले के सीआईए-2 स्टाफ सोनीपत की पुलिस द्वारा बैंक लूट की घटना में संलिप्त आरोपियों दीपक व सुभाष उर्फ गोल्डी निवासी पांची जाटान जिला सोनीपत को 72 घंटे के अन्दर काबू किया। इस मामले में पुलिस अधीक्षक सोनीपत जशनदीप सिंह रंधावा ने इस मामले में पांच टीमों का गठन किया था।
सीआईए-2 स्टाफ सोनीपत प्रभारी निरीक्षक अनिल कुमार अवैध हथियार, दो जिन्दा कारतूस व लूटी गई नकदी के चार लाख रूपये मिले थे।इसके बाद रिमांड पर लिया और प्रयुक्त तेजधार हथियार व लूटी गई नकदी के सात लाख 75 हजार रूपये बरामद कर लिये गये थे। अपने कार्य को बेहतर तरीके से करने के लिए जशनदीप सिंह रंधावा व पंजाब नेशनल बैंक मैनेजर तुला राम ने गुरुवार को लघु सचिवालय स्थित पुलिस अधीक्षक कार्यालय में सीआईए-2 प्रभारी निरीक्षक अनिल कुमार व इसकी टीम के कर्मचारियों को प्रशंसा पत्र व नकद ईनाम देकर सम्मानित किया गया है।
