जानकारी के मुताबिक, बोम्मई बुधवार यानी कल दोपहर को 3 बजकर 20 मिनट पर पद की शपथ लेंगे।
बेंगलुरू: बीएस येदियुरप्पा के इस्तीफे के एक दिन बाद, उनके मंत्रिमंडल में वरिष्ठ मंत्री बसवराज बोम्मई मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में कार्यभार संभालने के लिए तैयार हैं। बेंगलुरु के एक निजी होटल में हुई भारतीय जनता पार्टी के विधायक दल की बैठक में बोम्मई को सर्वसम्मति से विधायक दल का नेता चुना गया।
शिगांव से विधायक बोम्मई भाजपा के केंद्रीय नेतृत्व और संघ परिवार बीएस येदियुरप्पा से निकटता को देखते हुए आम सहमति के उम्मीदवार के रूप में उभरे। 61 वर्षीय कर्नाटक के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री एसआर बोम्मई के बेटे हैं और जनता पार्टी में उनकी पृष्ठभूमि है।
बसवराज बोम्मई कर्नाटक में भारतीय जनता पार्टी के कद्दावर नेता हैं। बोम्मई ने भूमाराद्दी कॉलेज ऑफ़ इंजीनियरिंग एंड टेक्नोलॉजी से 1982 में डिग्री ली. बसवराज बोम्मई इस साल के शुरुआत में कर्नाटक के गृह मंत्री बनाए गए थे। वे कर्नाटक विधा्नसभा के 2004 से 2008 तक भी सदस्य रहे हैं।
