सांसद रमेश कौशिक ने 72वें राज्य स्तरीय वन महोत्सव के उपलक्ष्य में करवाई गई इक्कोक्विज के विजेता छात्र-छात्राओं को प्रशस्ति पत्र भेंटकर पुरस्कृत किया। राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय बैंयापुर लहराड़ा के 12वीं के छात्र कविराज को प्रथम तथा राजकीय कन्या वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय मुरथल अड्डा की 12वीं की छात्रा अंकुश और एसएम हिंदू वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय की सोनम को तृतीय पुरस्कार से सुशोभित किया गया। साथ ही पर्यावरण संरक्षण के लिए पौधारोपण में सराहनीय कार्य करने वाले गैर-सरकारी संगठनों/स्वयंसेवकों को भी सम्मानित किया गया। इनमें जनहित अभियान फाउंडेशन के नरेंद्र हुड्डा तथा समाज कल्याण संगठन के आनंद जांगड़ा शामिल रहे।
उपायुक्त ललित सिवाच ने सांसद रमेश कौशिक व विधायक मोहनलाल बड़ौली को स्मृति चिन्ह के रूप में पौधे भेंट कर सम्मानित किया। इस मौके पर एसडीएम सुरेंद्र सिंह दून, एसडीएम शशि वसुंधरा, वन मंडल अधिकारी राजेश वत्स, राकेश गुलिया सहित वन विभाग के अन्य अधिकारी व कर्मचारी मौजूद थे।
