गन्नौर की विधायक निर्मल चौधरी ने पंचवटी कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत बीएसटी स्कूल के खेल मैदान में बुधवार को पौधारोपण किया। चौधरी ने लोगों से अपील की कि वे भी ज्यादा से ज्यादा पौधे लगाकर वातावरण को स्वच्छ बनाएं।

विधायक ने कहा कि पंचवटी कार्यक्रम के तहत औषधीय पौधों के साथ छायादार व फलदार पौधे भी लगाए जा रहे हैं। यह पौधे औषधियां व फल देने के साथ ही छाया और आक्सीजन देने का भी काम करेंगे। जिसके चलते हैं आजकल प्रदूषित हो रहे वातावरण को साफ स्वच्छ बनाने में बहुत योगदान मिलेगा। इसके बाद विधायक ने पुरखास गांव में भी पौधारोपण कर पंचवटी कार्यक्रम को बढ़ावा दिया। उनके साथ निगरानी कमेटी के सदस्य विद्याभूषण हसीजा, वन मंडल अधिकारी डा. राजेश वत्स, मुकेश कुमार, विजय आदि मौजूद रहे।
