जल शक्ति अभियान के तहत वन विभाग द्वारा वीरवार को रेलवे स्टेशन पार्क परिसर में पौधारोपण कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। कार्यक्रम में मुख्य अतिथि नगर परिषद् चेयरपर्सन रजनी इन्द्रजीत विरमानी रही। चेयरपर्सन ने पार्क परिसर में पौधरोपण किया । उन्होंने कहा कि शहर के सभी पार्कों में जल शक्ति अभियान के तहत 5000 पौधें लगाने का लक्ष पूरा किया जाएगा । जिसके लिए चेयरपर्सन दवारा रेलवे स्टेशन पार्क परिसर में 40 पौधारोपण कर शुरुआत की। पर्यावरण संरक्षण का संदेश देते हुए कहा कि पेड़ धरती एवं जीवन का आधार हैं। प्रत्येक व्यक्ति को अधिक से अधिक पेड़ लगाकर पर्यावरण संरक्षण के पुनीत कार्य में सक्रिय सहयोग निभाना होगा ताकि हम आने वाली पीढी को एक सही वातावरण, शुद्ध हवा एवं जीने का एक सही माहौल उपलब्ध करा सकें। इस अवसर पर रामधारी जिंदल, अनिल जैन, आनंद जांगड़ा, दरोगा सुनील, कपिल देव,उमेद सिंह, ज्वाला प्रसाद, महावीर गुप्ता, बलराम, राजपाल, पूनम आदि उपस्थित रहे।
